Inventors, madcap scientists and faithful assistants are just some of the characters you might play in our three-day acting workshop, “Grand Inventions”!
Through drama games and activities, you’ll explore what it means to use your imagination and come up with something completely new, just like inventors do. Plus, you’ll receive your very own script and rehearse a play to perform for your family and friends on the last day.

For ages 11-17
Two-day improvised theatre workshop with performance
What’s improvising? It’s acting without a script! You make it up as you go — creating stories, characters, and scenes on the spot.

In this fun and fast-paced workshop, you’ll learn how to think on your feet, build confidence performing in front of others, and use humour to tell great stories. Get ready to think fast, act big, and laugh loud in our hilarious Impro Showdown!

At the end of the second day, you’ll take the stage to show family and friends what you’ve learned in a mini-impro show!

LOL: THE ART OF COMEDY

In this two-day program for teens, you’ll explore the world of comedy by learning from the legends who shaped it and then trying it out for yourself.
From the sharp timing of sketch comedy to the playful chaos of slapstick and improv, you’ll experiment with different styles and find your own comedic voice.
Along the way, you’ll uncover how comedy has evolved through the years, sharpen your acting skills, and master the tricks of turning ordinary moments into laugh out loud performances. Whether you dream of being on stage or just want to bring more humor into everyday life, this program will have you performing (and laughing) like a pro​
CARNIVAL OF CURIOSITIES
For ages 7-12

Hoopla, hoopla, the circus is in town! Join our drama workshop with a carnival theme: think ringmasters, rides and fairy-floss! ​

MONOLOGUE MASTERCLASS
For ages 11-17
​
A 'monologue' is a moment on stage or screen where all the focus is on one character who speaks for an extended period of time, sharing their thoughts and feelings. Monologues are important building blocks in storytelling, and are found in many scripts. They're also often used as audition pieces.
In 'Monologue Masterclass', you'll get to hone your acting skills, learning all about how to shape your monologue in the most effective way, to move your audience. You'll even work on a short monologue to present live in performance to family and friends on the second day - if you're game!

AMAZON JUNGLE ADVENTURE
For ages 7-12

Join us for Amazon Jungle Adventure! In this three-day drama workshop, you'll explore all the characters of the Amazon... from daring explorers and scientists, right through to birds and animals of the rainforest. Through drama games, acting exercises and script work, you'll improve your acting skills, plus you'll perform in a play for family and friends on the last day!

FABLES

Aesop was a storyteller in Ancient Greece, famous for his moral tales. Many of them feature animals, while others feature some very foolish humans! In this three-day acting workshop, you'll explore some of the characters from his stories and perform in a play for family and friends on the last day!

Join Perform Australia for some super fun with our ghost-themed acting workshop!
Your acting challenge over three days will be to explore different characters: ghosts, phantoms and fantasy characters, as well as ghostbusters, intrepid investigators, and ghost-catchers!

Through drama games, acting exercises, improvisation and script work, you’ll develop your acting skills, and even perform in a play on the last day for family and friends.

In this two-day workshop, you'll have some fun learning about what casting directors are looking for, how to prepare for an audition and you'll even practice presenting one. This workshop is taught by award-winning actor/writer/director, Brendan Kelly.

Are you a fan of musical theatre? Love singing, acting and dancing? In this workshop you'll rehearse and perform a mini musical!
If you're ready to jump in, learn some new songs, smash out some choreography, memorise some lines and create some characters in just three days, you're ready for 'Musical Theatre Madness'!
We'll perform for family and friends on the last day.
